NWV Recap 2: spiraling upward

Dear Founders,
Another month is already coming to a close, & we’re excited to share what we’ve been up to this past month.
“We are not going in circles; we are going upwards. The path is a spiral; we have already climbed many steps.”
New Wave February Recap:
Peaks:
V1 of our investor pitch deck is finished. The first step is always the hardest, and we’re proud to have already applied to our first pitch competition to get out there before we are ready because who is ever really ready?
We’ve completed our first-ever foundation sprint.
Major Takeaways:
NWV Founding Hypothesis: If we help startup founders overcome stagnation and uncertainty by shifting their context, they will choose our solution over a DIY or self—taught approach because it is faster, data-driven, and actually works.
It’s all in the set-up, and this sprint has helped ensure ours is rock solid. The value of a structured approach to aligning on the foundation of what we’re building with the help of outside facilitation was immense.
We’ve scheduled a design sprint with the same facilitator to get us one step closer to our MVP.
We’ve collected detailed survey data from 30+ founders and entrepreneurs of various sizes & stages to determine patterns across successful founders.
Valleys:
We continue to have encouraging conversations with various potential investors & founders interested in partnering with us; however, we’re struggling to figure out the best way to engage their excitement and expertise at this early stage.
In short:
With vision, purpose, & appreciation,
Brooke
